ALBA Integrated Waste Solutions (Hong Kong) has released its second Sustainability Report, presenting progress in advancing sustainability, innovation, and impact across the waste management and recycling sector.
The report outlines results in Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) management, where e-waste is collected, treated, and refurbished into valuable secondary raw materials, supporting a circular economy in Hong Kong.
Key 2024 Results
- 22,052 tonnes of WEEE collected and treated, with an 86% recycling rate
- 88,835 tonnes of CO₂e avoided – equivalent to planting ~3.9 million trees
- First e-truck and 4 business vehicles electrified, cutting 12,361 kg CO₂e
- IoT forklift charging station monitoring introduced to enhance safety
- Customer Satisfaction Score of 89.9/100
- 1,688 appliances refurbished and donated to families in need
- Adoption of SASB Waste Management Standard for global ESG alignment
