ALBA participated an annual flagship recycling programme!

Due to the overwhelming support of the public, ALBA E-Waste has collected over 3,000,000kg of E-Waste from Jul – Dec 2021! Some of commonly collected e-waste are large household appliances such as air conditioners and refrigerators, as well as ICT equipment like computers and monitors. Additionally, the company has rolled out over 600 e-waste recycling bins island wide to date and this number is expected to grow.

In January 2022, ALBA E-Waste and ALBA W&H participated together in the Clean Up South West Community Development Council (CDC) event. Clean Up South West! is an annual flagship recycling programme organized by the South West CDC, the National Environment Agency (NEA) and supported by various Grassroots Organizations (GROs), corporate partners, and schools in the South West District.

During the event, Fons Krist, the General Manager for ALBA E-Waste, engaged the public on the issue of E-Waste while ALBA W&H provided support for the South West CDC’s Share-Your-Book initiative, where pre-loved books are donated to community libraries in the district.

In February 2022, ALBA E-Waste begun its collection drives for regulated e-waste amongst the communities. These drives are held at the grassroots level every weekend, making it easy and convenient for the residents to recycle their e-waste. This is especially so for those with limited mobility or bulky e-waste.

Pioneering the recycling industry

ALBA is committed to the environment and to future generations.
