On October 24th 2021, the signing ceremony of China (Henan) – Germany Industrial Cooperation Projects and the project groundbreaking ceremony of ALBA was held in Zhengzhou, Henan province. ALBA’s hazardous waste disposal and recycling project in Kaifeng has officially started.

The project is located in the Huanglong Industrial Agglomeration Zone, Kaifeng City, Henan Province. It mainly handles the disposal of industrial hazardous waste from Kaifeng Chemical Industrial Park, Huanglong Industrial Agglomeration Zone and China Pingmei Energy Chemical Group. At the same time, it will be an effective disposal supplement for hazardous waste coming from the area around Kaifeng City.

The project was listed as a provincial important construction project of Henan Province in 2021 and occupies an area of 254 mu. The main construction includes hazardous waste incineration, physical and chemical treatment, waste activated carbon regeneration, comprehensive utilization of waste packaging barrels, operation room and warehouse for concrete landfill, pump house, etc. At present, the project construction is moving forward in an orderly manner and is expected to be put into commercial operation in November 2022. During commercial operation, the project can dispose of 42 categories of hazardous waste with a capacity of approx. 60,000 tons per year.
