Congratulations on the completion of ALBA Restaurant Waste Treatment project in Xuchang, China

On October 24, China (Henan)-Germany Industry Cooperation Matchmaking Conference was held in Zhengzhou. Vice Governor He Jinping met with Dr. Schweitzer, Chairman of ALBA Group Asia. After the meeting, Xuchang Municipal Government signed a cooperation framework agreement with ALBA China Recycling Solutions Ltd., to help Xuchang build a “carbon neutral” city.

At the same day, the ALBA Xuchang Project completion ceremony was also held. This is the first project of ALBA in the Henan province. It is also a significant part of Xuchang ‘Zero-Waste’ construction. To help Xuchang build a ‘Zero-Waste’ city and to achieve the goal of low-carbon development, ALBA will introduce advanced technology and concepts from Germany. ALBA will work hand in hand with the local government to improve the local infrastructure, promote the development of the environmental industry, and to build a model of Sino-Germany cooperation in the field of climate and environmental protection.

The capacity of the ALBA Xuchang project is at 36.5 K ton restaurant waste per year. The by-products include crude oil, biogas, etc. With this project, the harmless, amount-reducing and recycling treatment of restaurant waste can be achieved, thus resolving social problems like ‘gutter oil’ and ‘swill-fed pigs’. Meanwhile, the project can also process kitchen waste, civil sludge, human feces and other biowaste. With the integrated treatment of biowaste, ALBA can convert and to transfer it into clean energy like power and biogas. Once achieved, the project will evolve into an urban and rural organic waste disposal center.

Pioneering the recycling industry

ALBA is committed to the environment and to future generations.
